I started meditating about six years ago after having my daughter. At the time, I was stressed, overwhelmed and dealing with postpartum depression. I knew I wanted to feel differently, and I knew I had to be the one to change my situation. Long story short, I started doing yoga which led to me meditating regularly, and I also began journaling and writing affirmations.
As cliche as it may sound, meditation literally was life-changing for me. I started worrying less, felt more peaceful and content and started living in the present moment more often.
